BitTitan and Vaultive Announce Office 365 Data Encryption

July 2014 by Marc Jacob

BitTitan, the IT change automation expert for cloud-based migration and onboarding, announces a partnership with data encryption company Vaultive, whose solutions enable businesses to maintain ownership and control of their data in the cloud. This partnership makes enterprise-class data encryption for Microsoft Office 365™ available as a cloud-based service to small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) via BitTitan Data Encryption offering.

To reduce their on-site infrastructure needs and increase information accessibility and uptime, SMBs are increasingly moving to the cloud, including Office 365. However, the move to the cloud is often at the expense of the company maintaining exclusive control of data, making it accessible to the outside world. This partnership adds an extra, critical layer of protection to a company’s Office 365 data. Data is encrypted before it goes to the cloud and stays encrypted while in transit, in use, and at rest, providing end-to-end security. The encryption keys are separated from the encrypted data, preventing unauthorized access.

This partnership enables Vaultive’s encryption-in-use technology to be implemented through BitTitan’s cloud-based automated processes and services. BitTitan’s Data Encryption will be available as a service, eliminating the need for on-premise servers, reducing management, maintenance and extra support needs, making it affordable for SMBs.

The service will be on display at WPC at BitTitan’s booth #1707. Attendees can learn more during a joint happy hour presentation at WPC on July 14th and 15th at 4:40PM at BitTitan’s booth. For more information, visit www.bittitan.com/dataencryption.

The service is now available in a pilot program.
