SYNTHESIS OF THE VULNERABILITY
An attacker can send an email containing malicious Java,
LiveConnect or JavaScript code, so it is executed when the victim
open his IBM Lotus Notes mailbox.

DESCRIPTION OF THE VULNERABILITY
The Lotus Notes client displays HTML emails, and enables by
default :
– Java applets
– LiveConnect
– JavaScript code
However, for example, if a vulnerable version of the JRE is
installed on the system, the Lotus Notes client can be used as an
attack vector.
An attacker can therefore send an email containing malicious Java,
LiveConnect or JavaScript code, so it is executed when the victim
open his IBM Lotus Notes mailbox.
