Web Drive Limited Selects Arbor CloudSM Multi-Layered DDoS Protection

May 2014 by Marc Jacob

Arbor Networks, Inc. announced today that Web Drive Limited, a Web hosting and domain name provider in New Zealand, has selected Arbor CloudSM for multi-layered DDoS protection from the full spectrum of modern DDoS attacks that target bandwidth, applications and infrastructure, often at the same time.

Web Drive Limited is New Zealand’s largest Web hosting provider; trusted by 25,000 customers. In addition to Web Hosting services, Web Drive also offers Cloud Server hosting, and reseller domain name systems to make it easier for customers to manage their domain name portfolio.

“At Web Drive, we pride ourselves on providing unsurpassed expertise and innovation to our customers and that now comes in the form of how we protect our customers from the growing constellation of threats targeting their networks,” said Robin Dickie, Managing Director, Web Drive Limited. “By choosing Arbor’s multi-layered approach to DDoS protection with Arbor Cloud, we’re giving our customers the chance to protect themselves both in the cloud and on-premise, which has become a must-have in today’s threat environment.”

“There’s little doubt that DDoS attacks continue to rise in size, frequency and complexity. This trend is putting tremendous pressure on providers who are challenged with the risk associated with not having enough capacity to manage very large attacks,” said Nick Race, Country Manager ANZ, Arbor Networks. “This, coupled with how quickly the attack landscape is changing, and providers need the multi-layered DDoS protection that we now offer with Arbor Cloud. Web Drive now has the layered DDoS protection solution they need to help protect their own networks and their customers’ networks from the threats posted by multi-layer DDoS threats that combine complex attack techniques with volumetric attacks that flood the network to the point of shutdown.”
