DESCRIPTION
The Microsoft Windows Event System handles method calls and events
between applications and Windows. It has two vulnerabilities
leading to code execution on victim’s computer with system
privileges.
An attacker, authenticated on the domain, can connect to the
computer and send a malicious "user subscription" request, which
corrupts the memory. [grav:3/4; CVE-2008-1457]
An attacker, authenticated on the domain, can call a method with
an array of function pointers as parameter, and use a malicious
range of indexes in order to corrupt the memory. [grav:3/4;
CVE-2008-1456]
