DESCRIPTION

OSS (Open Sound System) is a sound card driver for Linux kernel.

OSS uses the "snd_seq_oss_synth_make_info" function defined in the
"sound/core/seq/oss/seq_oss_synth.c" file in order to initialise
the driver.

This function does not check if the device number is valid
(between 0 and max number of MIDI/synth devices).

An attacker can therfore use this function to read information on
victim’s computer.
