DESCRIPTION
Java Web Start applications or applets are executed in a protected
environment, and cannot access to system resources.
The BasicService class provides the showDocument() method which
displays a url. However, this method does not check if the url
indicates to exit from the sandbox. An applet can thus use
BasicService to exit sandbox and to open a file with rights of
user.
A malicious applet can therefore access to files located on
victim’s computer.
