The OSF DCE (Distributed Computing Environment from OSF/OpenGroup) environment provides various components:
– DCE Threads
– RPC (Remote Procedure Call)
– etc.
Developers can use these basic features to create their programs.
A network attacker can use malicious queries in order to stop
following daemons:
– cdsd : CDS Server
– dced : DCE Host daemon
– rpcd : RPC Host daemon
– secd : DCE Security Server
Technical details are unknown.
A network attacker can therefore create a denial of service in DCE.
