SYNTHESIS OF THE VULNERABILITY
An attacker can send non HTML web content including URLs to F5
BIG-IP, in order to trigger a denial of service.
Impacted products: BIG-IP Hardware, TMOS.
Severity: 2/4.
Creation date: 31/05/2016.
DESCRIPTION OF THE VULNERABILITY
The F5 BIG-IP may be configured to translate URLs in Web content.
However, when the product is configured to process non HTML
content and actually receives the type of content, a fatal error
occurs and the whole system reboots.
An attacker can therefore send non HTML web content including URLs
to F5 BIG-IP, in order to trigger a denial of service.
