SYNTHESIS OF THE VULNERABILITY

An attacker can traverse directories of Drupal Media, in order to
read a file outside the service root path.

DESCRIPTION OF THE VULNERABILITY

The Media module provides the "Import media files from the local
file system" permission, which is used to import a file.

However, users who have this permission can import a file located
outside the Drupal installation directory.

An attacker can therefore traverse directories of Drupal Media, in
order to read a file outside the service root path.
