SYNTHESIS OF THE VULNERABILITY
An attacker can send numerous 802.11 frames to Cisco Aironet, in
order to trigger a denial of service.
– Impacted products: Cisco Aironet.
– Severity: 2/4.
– Creation date: 18/08/2016.
DESCRIPTION OF THE VULNERABILITY
The Cisco Aironet product can be use to limit the bandwidth of
802.11 frames.
However, this limit is incorrectly implemented, so it stops the
system.
An attacker can therefore send numerous 802.11 frames to Cisco
Aironet, in order to trigger a denial of service.
