Top Law Firm Selects Promisec for Endpoint Security

November 2007 by Marc Jacob

Promisec Inc., a technology leader in endpoint security management with the industry’s first agentless monitoring and remediation solution that supports layered internal security management, today announced that the company’s flagship product, Spectator Professional™, has been selected by Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, one of the world’s largest law firms - to secure over 5,000 network endpoints. Promisec! ’s agentless solution surpassed the firm’s requirements for iron clad security that was easy to use and flexible enough for the organization’s varied IT infrastructure.

Skadden Arps, with headquarters in New York City, was founded in 1948 and has 22 offices worldwide with approximately 2000 attorneys. Promisec’s Clientless Endpoint Security Management solution provides the required security that is easy to use and versatile - key reasons the law firm chose Promisec’s Spectator Professional.

Skadden Arps required a simple and elegant, yet powerful solution to control and manage their endpoints worldwide, to identify and fix deviations from its security policy without adversely affecting network performance or integrity. Promisec Spectator Professional proved to be the perfect choice to monitor who is on the network and when, ensuring the software and hardware being used on their networks is approved and making sure that there are no hidden threats inside their network.

"It is very important for us to be able to know that our endpoints are secure across the entire enterprise,” said Nancy Lundergan, Manager of Security and Process at Skadden Arps. “Promisec allows us to monitor and remediate policy non-compliance across the enterprise. We are pleased with Promisec’s clientless approach which is flexible, non-disruptive and quick to implement. Not having to install software on each and every PC is a major selling point."

“Skadden Arps has a global reputation for excellence,” said Amir Kotler, chief executive officer and co-founder of Promisec. “By choosing Spectator Professional, the firm has cast a huge vote of confidence for what we’ve achieved with our solution. It is a clear validation of our approach to an ongoing and difficult issue to manage for distributed organizations.”

Prior to selecting Promisec, the company reviewed a number of endpoint security solutions, but Spectator’s flexibility, the broader approach and the fact that the solution is not intrusive caused Skadden Arps to go with Spectator Professional. Promisec installs on a sing! le server and provides an agentless single point of management for the firm’s vast network of Windows-based computer systems.
