Telvent taps Apani EpiForce as security solution of choice

Apani announced that it has entered into a new OEM partnership with Telvent, a global provider of information technologies targeted to Energy, Transportation, Environmental, and Public Administration industries.
Telvent will offer Apani EpiForce as a security overlay to its OASyS DNA 7.5 Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) platform.
After extensive evaluation, Telvent selected EpiForce to address the critical security requirements of its customers. EpiForce protects communications within OASyS DNA installations without having to modify the underlying applications.
Telvent’s OASyS DNA solution suite gathers data from geographically dispersed sensors in real time and presents that information to operators and analysts controlling pipelines and electric grids across the world. Comprised of a suite of applications deployed on a flexible hardware platform, OASyS DNA offers the most secure real time system available.
Apani® EpiForce® provides a single security solution that enables an identity-aware network without requiring network readdressing or reconfigurations, eliminating countless hoursof maintenance to support new security initiatives. EpiForce is a software-based alternative to using network firewalls and VLANs for security inside the corporate network. EpiForce can be installed, deployed and configured on top of existing network infrastructure without requiring changes to the infrastructure.
