Stop-Rfid.fr protect credit cards against remote data theft

Did you know it was possible to read remote data of the new credit cards ? Same goes with the new transport cards and access badges. An very important detail which appeared with the new contactless cards (NFC).
Several demonstrations performed by ethical hackers1 have demonstrated the weakness of this new form of cards. Indeed, the NFC and RFID technologies included in the contactless cards and tags (banking, transport, access) is not completely safe against information theft by hackers2.
The protection of data in your contactless cards and access badges
From this observation, an Alsatian (a person from Alsace in France) decided to launch the website Stop-Rfid.fr with the help of two partners : Bong who manufactures secure envelopes and the enterprise Maison Petzold Kaps who is a specialist in engraving. This website is dedicated for the protection of data contained in your contactless cards and access badges. The french website Stop-Rfid.fr has been officially launched in May 2013. The site offers a wide variety of physical protections to secure your contactless cards directly in your pocket. A hacker (in the subway or street) will no longer be able to intercept the informations of your new credit cards, transport cards or access badges.
Lightweight and effective, the protections need to be put in your wallet or dedicated card holders. Featured products from Stop-Rfid.fr are the anti rfid wallet3 or the "kit stop rfid for wallet4", a dedicated protection that you can put directly in your own wallet.
