Splunk Takes Best Integrated Security Title At SC Magazine UK 2010 Awards
June 2010 by Marc Jacob
Splunk, the IT Search company, announced that the company has taken the prestigious Best Integrated Security title for the second year running at SC Magazine UK’s 2010 Awards. The award was announced at the exclusive SC Magazine Awards Europe Gala at the Wyndham Grand London in Chelsea Harbour during the Infosecurity Europe 2010 Conference & Expo. The awards are designed to reward companies, such as Splunk, for affording excellence and innovation in every aspect of IT security.
Splunk’s innovative security and compliance capabilities deliver companies, including prominent EMEA customers such as Gala Coral, BT and the BBC, the ability to quickly search and analyse their entire IT infrastructure from a single location in real time. Most customers achieve a dramatic reduction in forensic and incident investigations – often 50 to 90 per cent, not only lowering incident response costs, but also dramatically reducing risk as attack windows are shortened.
"Our judges have recognised the Splunk IT Search Platform for its ability to address pressing IT security challenges facing the industry today," said Paul Fisher, editor in chief, SC Magazine. "It’s a well deserved testament to Splunk’s success in helping organisations tackle IT security on a day-to-day basis."
The annual SC Magazine Awards highlight and showcase the best solutions, services and professionals while recognizing achievement and technical excellence in the information security industry in the EMEA region. This year, with almost 700 entries submitted in thirty categories, the 2009 EMEA SC magazine Awards was the most competitive yet in the program’s twelve year history. Featured on the SC website, Splunk and the other winners are in five different award sections – professional, technology, excellence, product and industry.
