Security Solutions Show, First Target

The first SECURITY SOLUTIONS SHOW, the Fiera di Vicenza event representing a genuine global
comparison for security solutions, has now come to a close. Operators in the industry had a 3-day
opportunity to see the innovations available for anti-theft, anti-intrusion, video surveillance, access point
control, firefighting, domotics and building automation, as well as IP technology applications in the
integrated security field.
A new and defining event that Fiera di Vicenza wanted to set up, together with the major associations in
the security industry to meet a precise demand from the market itself. And this bold, cutting-edge
format has interpreted security technologies with an innovative key, using the same model suggested by
the marketplace. There were numerous opportunities for operators in the trade to update, thanks to a
series of technical conventions and seminars, but there were also occasions for open exchanges and to
learn more about the hottest topics of the moment.
A new, enterprising and not exactly easy model, established to occupy expo space in odd-numbered
years but above all to finally bring solutions and applications instead of just products into a fair scenario.
Target achieved, thanks also to the participation of leading companies who believed in and were happy to
invest in the format, taking an active part in its founding.
These companies should be credited for their efforts and for their strong belief in bringing growth,
innovation and training to the sector in a difficult moment for the economy.
SECURITY SOLUTIONS SHOW saw the participation of 44 companies, market leaders – of which 25%
from abroad – succeeding not only because of the improved integration between display information,
technical and dissemination, but also because of two consolidated events running concurrently: MEB in
Fiera (Expo dedicated to electrical supplies) and All Digital (Professional forum on digital technologies),
creating a synergy of visitors from increasingly integrated operational sectors.
The SECURITY SOLUTIONS SHOW project was made even more international by the participation of
delegations of foreign buyers, retailers and importers, from Spain, Germany, Great Britain, France,
Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, and the Balkans. Working with the Italian-German Chamber of
Commerce meant that German suppliers were able to meet Italian demand.
Many products were previewed at the fair, from security solutions for the banking and jewellery sectors
to a new fire detection system and new video surveillance technologies.
Now the foundations have been laid, it is necessary to work on the perimeter and finishes to arrive with a
more defined model in 2015.
