SMCP - Social Media Child Protection
March 2013 by Marc Jacob
SMCP App allows parents to keep an eye on their children’s Facebook/Twitter account while respecting their privacy. They can follow new friends and posted pictures when children are active on Facebook or Twitter. Available in 6 languages for Apple or Android platforms at ITunes and Google Play!
How SMCP works
SMCP registers basic activity of children’s Facebook/Twitter profile via an App that parents install on their smartphone or tablet. To install this App, the children need to enter once their Facebook/Twitter account login details. SMCP encourages parents to let their children enter the login details themselves, which lets them maintain some privacy. SMCP is also a good solution to avoid parents embarrassing their children by being friends together on Facebook or Twitter.
SMCP will register the following activities:
• Incoming and outgoing friend requests on Facebook
• All new posted pictures (Uploaded photos and captions) on Facebook
• Messages with non-friends (only picture, name and age) on Facebook
• Following on Twitter
SMCP will not register the following activities:
• Any conversations (to maintain the child’s privacy)
