Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) implements new payment system with Commidea

March 2011 by Marc Jacob

Commidea, the card payment solution provider, has announced that the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) has implemented its card payment system to process payments for its online shop and call centre and support its PCI DSS requirements.

The RNIB online shop and call centre sell a variety of products ranging from guide canes to talking kitchen scales that help blind and partially sighted people live independently. RNIB also needed a simple refund capability to make the process more efficient for both its customers and staff, enabling more resource to be focused on supporting people with sight loss. Commidea was able to provide a solution to this too.

Commidea’s solutions are pre-approved by all UK acquirers and meet PCI DSS compliance requirements which is paramount to the charity, otherwise RNIB could face fines, warnings and removal of the facility to take payments.
