Protegrity releases Defiance Security Software Suite v4.4

Corporation, a provider of data security
management solutions, releases the newest
version of the industry’s most comprehensive
security product: Defiance Security Software Suite 4.4.
The release extends Protegrity’s enterprise data
security solution with dozens of new and enhanced
features that make it easier to comply with
Payment Card Industry (PCI) regulations by
providing out-of-the-box PCI reports, support for
an even greater number of platforms found in the
typical enterprise, and rapid, seamless
integration with existing systems, policies and processes.
The Defiance Security Suite is engineered to meet
the needs of retailers’ high-volume, data
intensive business, as well as the requirements
of other industries. It is focused on securing
data in a manner that meets security obligations
within the context of operational business requirements.
New and enhanced functionality in the Defiance Security Suite includes:
• Streamlined access to key information
with new pre-formatted PCI reports that highlight
what data is protected and how/when sensitive information is being accessed
• Enterprise-wide security coverage with
new platform support for Windows Server 2003 and
HPUX on Itanium and expanded support for UNIX/Linux
• Minimised impact to existing systems and
processes resulting from zero downtime initial encryption
• Rapid security deployment with the
ability to transfer user permissions contained in
existing systems right into Defiance’s security policies.
