Opengear Introduces the Resilience Gateway™

Opengear announced the availability of the ACM7004 Resilience Gateway. Designed to increase network uptime at branch offices and remote sites, the Resilience Gateway utilizes Opengear’s pioneering Smart OOB and Failover to Cellular to enable the efficient access, monitoring, and control of edge routers, servers, switches, firewalls, PDUs, and UPSes. The Resilience Gateway product line includes the ACM7004-2-LA supporting AT&T 4G LTE cellular, the ACM7004-2-LV supporting Verizon 4G LTE cellular, and the ACM7004-2-LR for 4G LTE connectivity across other networks.
Network interruptions and downtime – especially at branch offices or regional retail stores – can do considerable damage to both a business’s revenue and its reputation. Because any disruption to business continuity can negatively impact a company’s brand, and because repairs can be complex and costly, it is critical to have resilient network solutions featuring always-on, reliable remote access. Utilizing Opengear’s Smart OOB which delivers a deeper feature set and level of reliability than typical out-of-band offerings, the Resilience Gateway provides secure remote monitoring and control of distributed networks for true out-of-band management of critical equipment, including proactive monitoring and smart automated response capabilities.
With Failover to Cellular over high-speed 4G LTE networks, the Resilience Gateway improves WAN resilience and business continuity at remote sites, stores, and throughout the enterprise. Environmental monitoring and security for IT assets is delivered by attaching security cameras, door sensors, and temperature, humidity and digital I/O sensing monitors. Scaling is made simple with Opengear’s Lighthouse Centralized Management and Zero Touch Provisioning. The Resilience Gateway reduces IT costs and mean time to repair by detecting and alerting network administrators to faults and outages (including proactive monitoring and fault repair), and by equipping them with situational awareness and remote control of systems, all delivered via a reliable out-of-band connection.
