OmniPerception’s real-time facial surveillance solution finalist for the 2011 IFSEC Future of Security awards

April 2011 by Marc Jacob

OmniPerception has been recognised for its world-leading real-time face recognition surveillance solution, CheckPoint.S™, by being selected as a finalist for this prestigious national award.

The Guildford-based company that is known on the international stage for its ground-breaking biometric technology is one of nine entrants selected to go through to the live final of the 2011 IFSEC Future of Security Competition on May 17.

The IFSEC Future of Security Competition aims to find the next generation security innovations to radically change the security world.
This competition brings together the world’s most promising technological innovations at the IFSEC 2011 conference that will compete against each other in a live judging session.

OmniPerception has been recognised for its innovative CheckPoint.S™ product, which uses face recognition to identify and alert security staff in real time when a black-listed or a ‘person of interest’ is in the area. CheckPoint.S™ can even identify people when the subject is not directly looking into the camera.
CheckPoint.S™ is a light-immune solution designed to work in any lighting conditions, can be used either covertly or overtly and it’s scalable from one to hundreds of cameras.

OmniPerception has created a video for the final which will appear on the dedicated IFSEC website http://www.omnicompete.com/ifsec where everyone will be able to vote. Votes will be collected until the day of the final.
The IFSEC Future of Security Competition is being run in association with Global Security Challenge, a company with an impressive track record as a central hub for security innovators, start-ups and investors and hosts competitions and events around the globe
