Objectivity Delivers Lightning Fast Performance Improvements With InfiniteGraph 3.1 and Introduces Open-Use Data Connectors

April 2013 by Marc Jacob

Objectivity, Inc. announced the release of InfiniteGraph 3.1, delivering improved path finding for faster search results, ingest performance improvements, enhanced visualization features and navigator plug-in enhancements. Objectivity also introduces the first of a new series of open-use offerings (free, commercially supported open source tools), with tIGOutput, a new output connector that enables you to easily and quickly import data into InfiniteGraph from sources such as Cassandra, HBase or MySQL using the graphical connection and mapping features of Talend data integration products. Talend is a provider of open source software whose products provide an extensible set of tools to access, transform and integrate data. With InfiniteGraph’s open-use connector, you can now import data from any source supported by Talend.

With the newest release of InfiniteGraph, companies can discover previously inaccessible relationships and connection information between data faster than ever before, thus unlocking "in-time" answers in their Big Data which had been previously hidden.

According to Forrester, "Predictive analytics enables firms to reduce risks, make intelligent decisions, and create differentiated, more personal customer experiences. But predictive analytics is hard to do without the right tools and technologies, given the increasing challenge of storing, processing, and accessing the volume, velocity, and variety of big data."

InfiniteGraph is the only distributed graph database that scales out within real-time Big Data applications. InfiniteGraph’s unique, massively scalable and distributed architecture enables users to store, search and visualize relationships between inter-related data, across all combined data silos, for new meaning in real-time. New features in InfiniteGraph 3.1 include:

Faster Path Finding - InfiniteGraph provides dramatically improved search results when finding paths between two known objects by leveraging a two-way path finding algorithm.

Ingest Enhancements - InfiniteGraph 3.1 offers up to 25% improved ingest performance over previous versions.

Visualizer Improvements - The InfiniteGraph Visualizer provides users with additional ease-of-use and quick start functionality for visualizing and navigating the graph.

Storing Graph Views and Navigation Policy Chains - Navigation policies, which customize the behavior of a navigation query, and graph views, which define a subset of a graph database for a navigation query, can now be saved in your graph database for later reuse.
