Nokia Siemens Networks to manage the mobile backhaul of T-Mobile Austria’s network to ensure high bandwidth and quality of service.
T-Mobile Austria is moving to guarantee its customers high-speed and high-quality mobile broadband services, while co-operating closely with Nokia Siemens Networks in regard to managing its backhaul network.
Under the contract, which runs through 2013, Nokia Siemens Networks will assume full responsibility for the optimization and operation of the mobile backhaul network. The control and responsibility for the network and the supervision of its quality remains with T-Mobile Austria.
Nokia Siemens Networks will optimize the network by selecting the right backhaul technology, which fulfills the requirements of bandwidth, quality and best price. Technologies like leased lines from different suppliers, dark fiber or also microwave will be considered. For own access Nokia Siemens Networks is supplying its market-leading transmission and microwave equipment to fit the backhaul network to the future needs: The managed service includes advanced maintenance and field service for the backhaul for a period of five years.
