Nexsan announces Product Interoperability with Symantec Enterprise Vault

Nexsan, a provider of energy-efficient, long-term disk storage, today announced that the Nexsan Assureon® system has been tested and qualified for use with Symantec Enterprise Vault 7.0™ and Enterprise Vault 2007, a global leader in infrastructure software and information security. This integration enables joint customers to leverage a highly reliable and scalable data archiving or storage solution by combining Symantec’s enterprise-class data archiving software with Nexsan’s award-winning intelligent, disk-based archiving and green storage solutions. By utilizing Nexsan Assureon, featuring its comprehensive array of intelligent features, in conjunction with Enterprise Vault, customers can significantly improve the reliability, efficiency and security of their data archiving operations.
The interoperability testing of Assureon with Enterprise Vault was completed via the Symantec Technology Enabled Program (STEP) and helps to ensure that customers can seamlessly archive and protect data while reducing cost, energy use, and complexity within storage environments. Assureon comes complete with AutoMAID™ technology (Massive Array of Idle Disks) at no additional cost, allowing customers to power down disk drives to an idle or near idle state when not in use to reduce power consumption with little to no compromise in data retrieval performance.
