Morpho chosen by Moneo Payment Solutions as exclusive supplier for French multi-service Moneo card

Morpho (Safran group) and Moneo Payment Solutions, market leader for multi-service cards in France, announced that they have signed a contract that makes Morpho the exclusive supplier for Moneo
cards. These comprise contact as well as contactless and dual interface cards, to be used
primarily as student cards but also as payment cards and some as city cards.
Moneo Cards are versatile all-rounders: Depending on the designated use, Morpho can
equip the card with different multiple applications and electronic payment functions, both
privative and nation-wide. Different use cases can be covered with one and the same card,
such as public transport, access to a university library or a university PC, payment in the
campus copy shop, renting a bike from bike stations.
Moneo Cards from Morpho also contain a flexible Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) application
enabling strong digital signature and authentication to highly secure Value added Services.
MoneoPass by Morpho has implemented Morpho biometric Match on Card technology,
supporting the concept of both storing and matching fingerprints on a smart card.
Due to the extremely high market share of Moneo Payment Solutions in this segment, nearly
all student chip cards in France will be produced by Morpho.
