Mobilegov announces the launch Secured Web Access Services (SAWS)

April 2008 by Marc Jacob

Mobilegov, a software editor conceiving security solution that rest on a patented technology called the Digital DNA (identification of the unique signature of any IT components), announces the launch of a new product called Secured Web Access Services (SAWS).

In a context in which organised Cybercrime increases much faster than IT security, the whole Information Society is at risk. The confidence level in electronic exchanges decreases each time a new incident occurs (Identity theft over the Internet, online purchase with stolen credit cards, phishing, etc.).

The increase of online electronic transactions requires new solutions that meet service suppliers and the client’s needs. The need to strengthen the Login/Password verification (or PIN code: what we know) with the identification of an item (what we have) has become crucial in order to guarantee the security of transactions and users.
Mobilegov henceforth provides a solution for online service suppliers (banks, online shops, electronic payments, etc.) so they can offer to their clients and users the possibility to authenticate with their favourite equipments (their computer or mobile phone, their USB stick, MP3 player, etc. connected to the computer used for the online transaction).

It will thus be possible for anyone to remotely identify and authenticate from any computer by simply connecting one’s favourite device. If the Digital DNA of the connected device is recognised, the access is granted, if not it will be denied.

The company announces it is currently negotiating with several major players of online services in order to deploy the SAWS product.
