Every Windows user is familiar with the blue screen when the operating system runs into an error. This "Blue Screen of Death" (in short: BSOD) is set to be redesigned in the forthcoming Windows 10 summer update. A QR code is expected to give users the possibility of being able to search for the reason for the blue screen in the Microsoft help pages. However, besides a number of advantages, cyber criminals can also abuse this new technology. Experts at G DATA SecurityLabs have assessed the situation.
