Maxicard to be new LEGIC® licence partner in Germany

LEGIC Identsystems Ltd, the manufacturer of contactless smart card systems for personal identification and Maxicard GmbH, Germany’s most successful supplier of ID card printers, have agreed on a licence partnership. For Maxicard, this means more access to LEGIC’s smart card technology and the possibility of new, integrated card systems.
Maxicard GmbH, with headquarters in Viersen, Germany, has been providing cards, printers and systems designed for every application at reasonable prices since 1994, due to the use of the most modern equipment and technology coupled with competent and friendly advice. In addition to reasonably priced standard plastic cards, the company also produces cards with contactless smart card transponders, contact chips and microprocessors. The company not only delivers and prints completed cards in small, medium and large lots, but also distributes, installs and services Thermotransfer and Thermosublimations printers with the respective accessories, e.g. encoding stations. Personalisation and mailing of customer cards, card accessories such as clips, pockets and straps round off the company’s range of products and services.
With the LEGIC licence partnership, the business is strengthening its know-how in the area of contactless cards. Maxicards existing supply of transponder cards will be enhanced and strengthened with the world-leading contactless all-in-one smart card technology. With LEGIC’s integrated, universal technology platform, the authorization management can be covered for up to 127 different applications such as access control, time & attendance, cashless payment, e-ticketing, IT access – right up to biometric high security uses. This opens up a wide spectrum for the German market leader to optimise its current range of products and services and to diversify its supply.
