Lynn University Selects Tegile Systems’ Zebi Storage Array as Its Storage Backbone for Upcoming and Final Presidential Debate

October 2012 by Marc Jacob

Tegile Systems announced that its award-winning storage array has been chosen by Lynn University for the highly secure and separate storage environment that is being deployed for the upcoming presidential debate. The final debate will take place on the Lynn University campus on 22nd October; the technology chosen had to meet the stringent and secure requirements of the Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD).

A set of complex requirements were put forth by the CPD relating to the storage environment for this final debate. The IT team at Lynn University was very focused on working with technology providers who could provide dependable solutions able to be brought into a critical production environment with minimal risk. Tegile’s array is part of the technology platform that is running the entire debate’s voice and video communications.

“Tegile, using its Zebi product, provided Lynn University with the storage environment that is the backbone for the server environment comprised of some 20-25 virtual servers,” said Chris Boniforti, Chief Information Officer, Lynn University.

“Having won the university’s request for proposal process earlier this year we are diligently working to assemble the technology that will bring the debate to millions of people and households,” said Rob Commins, vice president of marketing, Tegile Systems. “We are honored to be a part of American history in this important way.”

Tegile’s Award-Winning Storage Arrays

Tegile’s two new storage arrays, the HA2400 and the HA2800, are considerably faster than legacy HDD arrays and significantly less expensive than all solid-state disk-based arrays. Featuring both NAS and SAN connectivity, the HA2400 and the HA2800 are easy-to-use, fully redundant and highly scalable. Additionally, they come complete with built-in snapshot, replication, near-instant recovery and virtualisation management features.
