Juniper Networks names Michele Goins Chief Information Officer

Juniper Networks Inc. announces the appointment of Michele Goins to the position of chief information officer (CIO). Ms. Goins joins Juniper from Hewlett-Packard, where she served in a number of executive positions during her 25 year tenure. Most recently, she was vice president and CIO for Hewlett-Packard’s Imaging and Printing Group (IPG), responsible for defining and delivering the information technology and systems in support of IPG and the company’s consumer business priorities.
Ms. Goins will be responsible for all of Juniper’s information technology strategies, systems, and resources. She will provide strategic and tactical direction to ensure all information technology systems are aligned to support the company’s growth and operational objectives. Ms. Goins will report directly to Ms. Denholm.
Ms. Goins served in a variety of roles during her 25 year tenure at Hewlett-Packard, including information technology, acquisition integration, manufacturing, sales, marketing and engineering. Most recently, as the vice-president and chief information officer for the Imaging and Printing Group (IPG), Ms. Goins was responsible for the definition and delivery of Information Technology and Information Systems in support of IPG and HP Consumer Business priorities through the development of global strategies and implementation of deployment plans for IT to enable business process transformation. She defined and implemented IT architecture, standards, guidelines and processes, while driving the leadership, management & development of the IPG business IT function. Ms. Goins holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Santa Clara University and earned an M.B.A. from Northeastern University.
