Jean-Noël de GALZAIN, Wallix: autonomy and sovereignty should be integral to cybersecurity choices

October 2022 by Marc Jacob Valentin Jangwa, Global Security Mag

During ITSA 2022, Wallix presented PAM4ALL by demonstrating with three of its partners, use cases of its solution in industry, health and heterogeneous environments. Jean-Noël de GALZAIN, Founder & CEO at Wallix reminds us that autonomy and sovereignty should be integral to cybersecurity choices.

Global Security Mag: What are you presenting at ITSA this year?

Jean-Noël de Galzain: At ITSA, we are presenting our approach with our German partners who demonstrate three use cases that we frequently encounter in Germany.

The first use case is presented by Spike Replay which responds to the security of industrial networks. it therefore secures IoT and manufactured products in factories.

The second use case is presented by the company MicroCat. It interacts on heterogeneous environments for which it is necessary to federate user access, different authentication modes... and offer a simple way to connect remotely to different resources. This makes it possible to manage access in a simple, unified way and by controlling the risks in relation to the compliance repositories. This use case concerns hospitals, the public sector...

Finally, for the third use case, Remian offers our solution which helps to fight against bank fraud and to work on the compliance of access and identities.

Our PAM4ALL solution systematically meets these three use cases. Our packaged approach around PAM addresses the needs of simplifying the management of digital access in very different and sometimes sensitive contexts.

Global Security Mag: What are the strengths of PAM4LL?

Jean-Noël de Galzain: PAM4ALL enables organizations to deploy a full suite of software to manage internal, external and remote access, etc., as well as resources hosted in the Cloud, such as data for example. In addition, it manages access to industrial networks and systems.

PAM4ALL has enabled us to be a leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for its innovation, ease of use and suitability for industrial and sensitive environments.

PAM4ALL is certified by ANSSI for the previous version and in the process of being certified by the BSI for its new version.

Global Security Mag: What is your marketing strategy in Germany?

Jean-Noël de Galzain: our strategy in Germany consists first of all of developing through our subsidiary Wallix GMBH, which is made up of around twenty experts. Their mission is to develop the company, provide support for partners and customers locally? In addition, they must ensure that they support our partners in the deployment of customer projects. To the PAM4ALL technology we want to add local support and expertise.

We target markets in which our solutions are particularly suited and we already have significant references. For example, in the health sector, the most sensitive sectors and industrial companies. We also work with leading Telecom operators who need to deploy numerous heterogeneous and secure accesses.

In terms of go to market, our approach in the field consists of raising the level of training of our partners to deploy PAM projects at the heart of the digital transformation of our customers. So, we will rely on the most trained and involved partners to develop Wallix in all DACH regions. The German market is key for Wallix.

Global Security Mag: What is your message to our readers?

Jean-Noël de Galzain: when choosing a cybersecurity solution, think about your immediate needs but also about your medium and long-term strategy. Autonomy and sovereignty should be integral to cybersecurity choices.
