Ilex creates Air France’s Central Works Council’s sales & reservations site

July 2009 by Marc Jacob

Air France’s Central Works Council, the 2nd largest in France, employs close to 300 agents internally and 3000 seasonal workers during holiday periods. Its main role is to organise social activities for Air France’s 60,000 active and 20,000 retired members. The central works council offers tourism services for its members and their families. Each year, around 110,000 Air France employees and their families go on trips organised by the works council, 10,000 of which are children taking part in organised holidays.

In 2008, the works council decided to modernise its operations by heavily investing in an ERP system and by retaining Ilex to carry out development of its sales & reservations site, Panoram@, in its entirety.

Some figures:

• Between the 14th and 17th April last year, the first 3 days following Panoram@ going live, over 81,000 connections and 6000 holiday reservations were carried out.

• Since then, there has been an average of 2000 visits per day, resulting in 13,251 holidays purchased up to the 14th May.

Based on the most innovative technologies, the site offers a large selection of services and automates all processes in a highly secure environment. As underlined by François Cabrera, General Secretary of Air France’s Central Works Council, "Air France’s Central Works Council needed to improve its working processes and communication, just as much in terms of economy as quality of service, and today it has achieved that".
