ESET Releases ESET Mail Security for Microsoft Exchange Server

ESET announces the release of ESET Mail Security for Microsoft Exchange Server version 4.5, protecting company mailboxes as well as offering full protection to the server. Another server security product, ESET Security for Microsoft SharePoint Server now in the Release Candidate version, has made ESET the only AV vendor providing a protection to users of the new Microsoft SharePoint Server 2013.
Delivering thorough protection against all e-mail borne threats at the mail-gateway level, ESET Mail Security for Microsoft Exchange Server 4.5 scans company e-mail traffic and the mail storage within Exchange database with industry-leading precision. Using the product, the company can benefit from the enhanced Antispam engine with improved detection rates, while the Antispam settings are now fully integrated in the product’s graphical user interface.
The product’s highlights are real file type detection incorporated into rule based scanning and improved installation procedures, that streamlines the migration of current users to newer versions of the product. With the real file type detection, the company networks administrator benefits from applying policies for specific type of content in e-mail attachments. The installer supports the migration of all previous version settings (v4.2 or v4.3), while the eShell command line control lets administrators run scripts to perform actions and create or modify configurations. The administrator is able to monitor server performance in the real time, avoiding hassles with unexpected server shut downs.
With ESET Remote Administrator, now available in 12 languages, the product is increasingly suited for businesses with international presence, offering the administrator a distance tool to fine-tune all necessary configurations. In January 2013, ESET Mail Security for Microsoft Exchange Server earned the Virus Bulletin’s “VBSpam+” award. ESET has ranked one of the best products in both Antispam testing categories: the Lowest Rate of False Positives and the Best Spam Catch Rate (of 99.83%) which is a further proof of ESET Mail Security’s powerful Antispam engine and its reliability.
