Dominique Meurisse, Gatewatcher: European cyber security is no longer a myth and is becoming a reality

November 2022 by Marc Jacob

For its second participation in ITSA, Gatewatcher asserts its European ambitions by announcing a technological partnership with itWatch, one of the German leaders in End Point protection. For Dominique Meurisse, Gatewatcher’s VP Sales International, European cyber security is no longer a myth and is becoming a reality, thanks to the various agreements between the French and German organisations.

Dominiquer Meurisse and his team based in Germany

Global Security Mag: What are you presenting at ITSA this year?

Dominique Meurisse: First of all, we are presenting our team of 5 employees in Germany and of course our flagship product, the NDR (Network Detection & Response) AioniQ.

Global Security Mag: What are the strong points of your solution?

Dominique Meurisse: What is very appreciated in Germany is first of all that we are European, then that our NDR AioniQ is totally on premise, i.e. we do not send any customer data to the Cloud. In addition, we provide multi-engine detection. This solution also allows us to maximise the detection of an attack, regardless of the phase or techniques used.

Global Security Mag: What is your marketing strategy in Germany?

Dominique Meurisse: We already have two reseller partners, Dagma and ComCode, and today we are announcing a technological partnership with itWatch, the German leader in endpoint protection. Thus, two European leaders are joining forces to provide certified detection and protection solutions for European critical infrastructures. This presence is demonstrated by several events in which we are already participating such as ITSA.

The first POCs have started in Germany and our German website is online. We are very confident for the future because of the quality of the reception from German prospects. Due to the geopolitical context, I note a reinforcement of the Franco-German collaboration on the axis of Defence and cyber, the mutual recognition of the entire labeling of the BSI and the ANSSI are highly appreciated by the German companies and administrations.

Global Security Mag: What is your message to our readers?

Dominique Meurisse: If for years the Europe of cyber was considered a myth, it is finally becoming a reality thanks to the leadership of Germany and France.
