DCforDATA welcomes Jaguar Network

DCforDATA is a specialised Datacenter, which focuses on hosting infrastructures and telecoms in Lyon. JAGUAR Network, on the other side, is a telecom operator, based in Marseille. They offer a wide variety of services going from hosting to outsourcing and telecom services.
DCforDATA positioned itself as an outsider on the regional market since their initial inception in
2011, and has become one of the industries leader since then. Originally, the site was designed for
local businesses to host their infrastructure and backups. In reality, the “Carrier Neutral” positioning
was such a success, that the local businesses were attracted to the product and they were quickly
followed by many businesses across France.
DCforDATA’s pure “Housing” positioning enables companies to choose their system integrator and
telecom operator. Thus, in addition to large companies who have chosen the site to outsource their
infrastructure, more than twenty system integrators and twenty-five telecom operators provide ser-
vices in the datacenter. Since the launch two and a half years ago, more than one thousand compa-
nies are hosted on the site.
Historically, Jaguar Network delivers services for SFR Vénissieux in Lyon. Following the increasing
demand from Rhone-Alpes, the operator made the strategic decision to secure its ties with a second
site and have an alternative to the current site. After consulting several Datacenters, DCforDATA -
Tier 3 - was finally chosen for the quality of the site and the existing infrastructure. The choice of
Jaguar is particularly relevant to provide both security and redundancy in the best conditions in
Lyon, to the extent that the two datacenters are connected by fiber secured networks.
