Courion Named a Leader in Access Governance by KuppingerCole

Courion, a provider of risk-aware identity and access management solutions, today announced that KuppingerCole, a global analyst company focusing on information security and IAM, has recognized Courion as a leader in its 2014 Leadership Compass for Access Governance. The report states that from a feature perspective, Courion provides a very strong offering that covers virtually all current standard requirements. In the management summary of the report, Courion is highlighted specifically for being among the first to deliver advanced access intelligence capabilities as part of its offering.
The report, authored by Martin Kuppinger, founder and principal analyst at KuppingerCole, provides an analysis of all relevant providers of access governance products, a segment identified as one of the fastest growing within the broader IAM/IAG (Identity and Access Management/Governance) market. Kuppinger points out that while access recertification, access request management, role management and SoD (Segregation of Duties) management remain required capabilities for leading solutions such as the Courion Access Assurance Suite, the category is also evolving, with the addition of access intelligence and access risk management capabilities. This is an area where the Courion Access Assurance Suite, with intelligence integrated into both provisioning and governance, shines as a leader.
