ChapsVision has announced the acquisition of ACIC

The ChapsVision Group, the French data processing specialist, has acquired the Belgian expert
in artificial intelligence applied to video processing. This strategic transaction marks a new
stage in the continued growth of the ChapsVision Group and strengthens the capacity of
Argonos, its platform for the massive processing of heterogeneous data.
Since its inception in 2003, ACIC has demonstrated robust expertise in video signal processing.
ACIC is a spin-off from a research centre (MULTITEL) and university laboratories (UCLouvain,
UMons) with which it continues to be involved in innovative projects. Their teams are experts
in intelligent camera analysis and video processing technologies. ACIC is responding to the
need for video surveillance automation, which has become essential for sensitive sites, critical
infrastructures and urban video surveillance. It offers a full range of proven software for
intelligent video surveillance, enabling sites to be secured, intrusions and raids to be detected,
and vehicles to be counted. ACIC distinguishes itself from traditional image analysis solutions
by offering more advanced functionalities that incorporate artificial intelligence technologies,
such as Deep Neural Networks.

This acquisition combines ACIC’s in-depth knowledge of image processing with the
technological capabilities of the ChapsVision Group.
This integration heralds future developments in the sector, where video processing integrated
with data analysis platforms offers added value for securing major upcoming events. It also
makes it possible to address the needs of companies with high security requirements as well

as public administrations (Security, Defence) sensitive to issues of sovereignty, surveillance of
their sites, and protection of their employees and citizens.
