Barracuda Networks launches New Barracuda Spam Firewall

Barracuda Networks Inc. launched the Barracuda Spam Firewall 1000 for Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and other large organisations with up to 100,000 concurrent email users and 5,000 domains in a single appliance.

The Barracuda Spam Firewall 1000, which comes in a 2U full size form factor, includes 200 GB message log storage and 750GB storage capacity for quarantined messages, thus delivering the largest quarantine storage capacity available for large enterprises. In addition, the Barracuda Spam Firewall 1000 features advanced capabilities including redundant hot swap power supplies, and dual gigabit Ethernet ports. Multiple Barracuda Spam Firewall 1000 models can be clustered for both scalability and redundancy.

 Pricing and Availability:

Barracuda Spam Firewall 1000 orders in the U.S. will be accepted starting this week and will begin shipping in June. The Barracuda Spam Firewall 1000 is priced at £60,749 for the appliance and £16,399 per year for subscription to the Energize Update service. International pricing and availability varies based upon region.
