gateprotect presents its new V15 software version

September 2015 by Emmanuelle Lamandé

With its latest V15 software version, gateprotect GmbH, a member of the Rohde & Schwarz group of companies, presents its UTM solutions and next-generation firewalls.

With an advanced single-pass engine designed in Germany, the V15 version protects company networks even more reliably and averts cyberattacks, including on operationally critical infrastructures, more effectively. The graphical management interface to the multiple award-winning gateprotect firewall is now for the first time available in the browser of any device.

With the V15 the IT security experts at gateprotect introduce a piece of firewall software that combines the technical platform of the next-generation Network Protector firewall with the unique and newly-developed WebGui of the gateprotect UTM firewall. During development, particular emphasis was placed on speed, ease of use and compatibility with future developments.

Thanks to the integration of the high-performance next-generation firewall features, the performance of the gateprotect UTM application is now 300% greater than that of the existing hardware. Port-independent SSL decryption provides automatic control of encrypted data flows within every standard. In addition, a single-pass engine developed in Germany is integrated into the UTM solutions to provide fine-grained analysis of network traffic and to support high bandwidth standards to ensure future compatibility.

Another highlight of the V15 is the new WebGUI of the gateprotect solutions, developed in Germany, that features intuitive operation and supports all current web browsers. For the first time, therefore, the firewall can be managed quickly and easily from any device.

With V15 gateprotect thus presents dependable advanced technology with a single-pass engine for the UTM market and easy-to-use management of even complex networks of critical infrastructure operators.
