is also allowed to change them.
Severity: 1/4
Creation date: 09/03/2012
IMPACTED PRODUCTS
– MIT krb5
DESCRIPTION OF THE VULNERABILITY
The kadmin protocol is used by kadmind, in order to exchange
administration requests: add a principal, etc.
An object can have attributes of type String. The
get_strings_2_svc() and set_string_2_svc() functions of the
src/kadmin/server/server_stubs.c file read and change this
attributes. However, access controls to these functions are not
restricted.
An attacker, who is allowed to list String attributes via kadmin,
is therefore also allowed to change them.
