SYNTHESIS OF THE VULNERABILITY
An attacker can attempt multiple connections to the telnet server
of a Cisco Nexus device, in order to trigger a denial of service.
Impacted products: Cisco Nexus, NX-OS.

DESCRIPTION OF THE VULNERABILITY
The Cisco Nexus product includes a telnet service.
However, when the client announces an unsupported terminal type,
the server process halts when sending the banner before login.
An attacker can attempt multiple connections to the telnet server
of a Cisco Nexus device, in order to trigger a denial of service.
