SYNTHESIS OF THE VULNERABILITY
An attacker can send a malicious ARP packet to Cisco Aironet 3800
Series, in order to trigger a denial of service.
Impacted products: Cisco Aironet.
Severity: 2/4.
Creation date: 09/06/2016.
DESCRIPTION OF THE VULNERABILITY
Like any IP appliance, the product Cisco Aironet 3800 Series has a
service to manage received ARP packets.
ARP replies are used to fill a map between IP address and MAC

fatal error occurs and the appliance restarts.
An attacker can therefore send a malicious ARP packet to Cisco
Aironet 3800 Series, in order to trigger a denial of service.
