Skybox Security announces introduction of Skybox 4000 Appliance
March 2010 by Marc Jacob
Skybox Security announced availability of the Skybox 4000 appliance, combining the award-winning Skybox View software platform with a pre-installed and hardened server.
The release of Skybox 4000 provides enterprise customers with an alternative method of deploying Skybox security risk and compliance management solutions on a reliable, branded hardware platform that further reduces the total cost of ownership.
The Skybox View platform collects, normalizes, and analyzes information from firewalls, network devices, vulnerability scanners, and threat feeds. This common platform is used by all enterprise-level Skybox applications, providing a centralized view of network and risk data used to find security gaps in firewalls, verify network compliance with regulations, prioritize critical vulnerabilities, and predict possible cyber attack scenarios.
With the Skybox 4000 appliance, installation of Skybox solutions is now as easy as connecting power and network cables, setting network parameters, and activating the license.
For channel partners, the Skybox 4000 provides an expanded set of options to offer advanced security solutions to their enterprise customers. The Skybox enterprise portfolio now includes:
Skybox Firewall Compliance Auditor (Firewall Assurance, PCI Compliance, Change Assurance, Firewall Ruleset Optimization)
Skybox Network Compliance Auditor (Network Modeling, Connectivity Troubleshooting)
Skybox Risk Exposure Analyzer (Attack Modeling, Risk Assessment, Vulnerability Management, Patch Optimization)
Skybox 4000 Appliance (1U rack-mount server appliance, pre-installed Skybox View platform)
