SNCF RESEAU (France) Joins Beyond Security’s Growing Client Roster

July 2017 by Marc Jacob

Beyond Security, a provider for automated security testing solutions including vulnerability management announced today that it has added SNCF RESEAU, which is a part of SNCF (French National Railways) as a valuable client.

SNCF RESEAU is the organization under the umbrella of SNCF, is responsible for maintaining the infrastructure of SNCF, which is one of the largest public companies in France with over 260,000 employees and with revenue over €32 billion. SNCF RESEAU operates the railway network system. The Company develops and provides passenger transport stations, goods terminals, marshalling, and railway infrastructure, as well as offers repair and maintenance, property sale and leasing, urban development, telecommunications, and advertising space solutions. SNCF RESEAU offers services all throughout France.

“SNCF RESEAU had to implement a system to protect its self against cyber threats. Because we handle traditional and industrial equipment, we were looking for tools to cover cybersecurity tests for a large range of products and Beyond Security’s beSTORM provided us with the solution” said an Expert in the Industrial Cyber Protection organization. “With beSTORM, we are now able to run very high level of cyber security tests to make sure we are protected in the best way possible and our infrastructure is running more efficiently without the threat of any attacks or a loss of critical data”

“By using beSTORM to test the security of individual railway control components for unknown vulnerabilities, the SNCF is leading the way in securing French critical infrastructure from attack.” Said Brian Pearce, Chief Operating Officer of Beyond Security. “Transportation, power, communication and other infrastructure systems can no longer freely add new components or accept vendor updates to their networked systems without first certifying their security. Using enterprise grade, dynamic security testing on control system components prior to their installation, entire systems can eventually be certified as hardened against attack” he added. Beyond Security is a leading worldwide security solutions provider for testing accurately to assess and manage security weaknesses in networks, applications, industrial systems and networked software. Beyond Security’s product lines include, AVDS for network vulnerability management and beSTORM for software security testing, which can help secure network and applications and comply with the security policy requirements that exceeds industry and government standards. Founded in 1999, Beyond Security’s solutions are essential components in the risk management program for many organizations worldwide. With the headquarters located in Cupertino, California, Beyond Security’s distributors and resellers can be found in North and South America, Europe, Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Australia.
