OneAccess Launches SBC Nano
August 2010 by Emmanuelle Lamandé
OneAccess has announced the release of SBC Nano®, an advanced feature set enabling fixed line operators, mobile operators and ISPs to interoperate and manage SIP-based calls between their network and customer premise equipment, without impacting core network session border controllers (SBCs).
Available as a software option for several OneAccess ONE Series routers, the ONE SBC Nano provides SIP signalling resolution, SIP proxy and SBC capabilities for SIP based PBXs and phones, ensuring trouble free operation of SIP Centrex and SIP Trunking services to small and mid-sized offices of up to 300 desks.
The SBC Nano combines a comprehensive range of network interconnection, caller, session and IP security features. Not only does it act as a border between customer premise and service provider networks, hiding the network topology between IP networks, the SBC Nano also securely manages SIP sessions, NAT translation and firewall transversal, and SIP phone registration.
The SBC Nano is available now as a software option onboard the OneAccess ONE100D, ONE150, ONE270 and ONE700 multi service access routers.
