Okiok launches Centre for Innovation in Identity and Access Management

May 2008 by Marc Jacob

OKIOK announces the launch of the new Centre for Excellence in Innovation and Excellence in Identity and Access Management (CIEIAM), and the cooperation of École Polytechnique de Montréal as partner.

The world-class, multi-disciplinary team will cooperate on the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of forefront methods, processes, and technology for identity and access management (IAM), a high priority today for both public and private organizations. The centre brings together OKIOK consultants from all areas of IAM, information security researchers from the École Polytechnique de Montréal, and leading global providers of technology solutions, who have already shown their interest in taking part in the CIEIAM.

Specifically aimed at helping executives, managers and administrators of large corporations and financial institutions, IAM is one of the most crucial steps that is left to complete for those organizations who need to ensure they have the security, compliance and sound governance in place to protect their sensitive information and that of their clients and partners. IAM is a collection of standards, methodologies and processes critical for national and multinational firms in achieving the increasingly stringent regulatory requirements protecting investors, i.e. SOX in the United States and Bill C-198 in Canada.

OKIOK is a world pioneer and industry leader in the field of information technology security and infrastructure. It offers a complete range of products and services, particularly in the areas of secure data transfer, encryption, and identity management. Its offering comprises full consulting services, security management outsourcing, custom solutions, and training. OKIOK ranks among the Branham Top 250 Canadian Technology Companies. Its products are acclaimed and recognized internationally. Its Global Trust privilege management solution, which was launched at the Burton Catalyst Conference, is now offered by Siemens as part of the HiPath SIcurity DirX product family. Focal Point, a single sign-on solution also developed by OKIOK, is now offered by Beta Systems as part of their SAM Suite.
