NVIDIA Selects Trusted Logic to Secure Services on Super Phones and Tablets
September 2011 by Emmanuelle Lamandé
Trusted Logic announced that NVIDIA has selected the Trusted Foundations™ software solution to secure sensitive applications on super phones and tablets powered by the NVIDIA® Tegra™ mobile super chip.
Target applications include mobile commerce, mobile banking, and corporate services. The solution has also been combined with TrustedShow™ digital rights management (DRM) solution, to allow consumers to enjoy the high-definition video-on-demand service on Tegra-powered super phones and tablets.
Trusted Foundations is now being integrated in Tegra, and can leverage hardware-based security such as the ARM® TrustZone®. The Trusted Foundations software enables a protected computing area, commonly referred to as the Trusted Execution Environment. This state-of-the-art security solution allows applications to be executed in isolation from the main device OS, as required by leading service providers in the fields of payment and premium content.
Trusted Foundations complies with mobile industry security standards, including the Open Mobile Terminal Platform (OMTP) security requirements issued by mobile network operators, and with GlobalPlatform specifications.
