LogLogic heralds breakthrough in log collection
April 2010 by Emmanuelle Lamandé
LogLogic® unveiled LogLogic SEM v3.4. The solution features a new generation of log collector technology, that enables organisations to collect logs for both Security Event Management (SEM) and Log Management appliances in a single place.
The new single Log Collector introduces smart routing, enabling the logs to be forwarded to the Log Management appliances, and the events to the SEM.
Having a single collection point simplifies installation and management - but still retains the high performance required by the SEM to provide correlation and real-time alerting of security issues. It also provides the Log Management with a full log record for later archival, search and reporting.
LogLogic SEM v3.4 also supports the ability to uniquely forward logs to a vast number of LMI appliances. This means:
– High performance throughput
– High availability and log security though advanced cache management
– Advanced Syslog integration and customisation
– Flexible log collection tools for Windows WMI, Syslog, SDEE, and flat files
