India’s largest international security and fire exhibition celebrates 2011 success and re-location plans to accommodate phenomenal growth

January 2012 by IFSEC

An impressive 11,684 people flocked to Pragati Maidan, New Delhi for IFSEC India 2011 - India’s largest international exhibition for commercial homeland security and fire technology. To accommodate significant growth, indicated by an impressive rebook of 73 percent of exhibitors, organiser UBM India, a subsidiary of UBM plc, is re-locating the show in 2012 to the ultra modern India Expo Centre in Greater Noida – an area which is also home to the new state of-the-art Formula One racing track.

Co-located with Homeland Security India, IFSEC India was inaugurated by Honorable Union Home Minister, Mr. P Chidambaram & Mr. D. R. Kaarthikeyan, Padma Shri, Chairman, ASSOCHAM’s National Council on Installations, Premises & Personnel Security (IPPS). IFSEC India 2011 brought together the leading Indian and international homeland security solution providers with the key decision-makers and influencers from the Indian Government and private industry. A multitude of industries were represented at the show including financial services, infrastructure, public safety, law enforcement retail, realty and hospitality – all searching for the latest products and services in the security market.

Rebecca Halls, Business Development Manager, CBRN Defence and Security at Pursuit Dynamics said: “Being part of the DSO stand at IFSEC India was a major benefit to us. It allowed us to meet a number of high profile delegates as well as utilise the high quality footfall during the first two days. We attended the show to raise the profile of our company and our technology, whilst gaining knowledge on our best market entry strategy. We met with a number of potential agents and partners during the show and have a number of leads to follow up.”

Comprising an engaging mix of 250+ exhibitors, the event provided a successful business platform for security professionals to network, increase their knowledge-base and establish new business relationships. This year, IFSEC India in partnership with ASSOCHAM also featured the Homeland Security India Conference titled “War against terror- A challenge to our Homeland Security”. The Homeland Security India Conference 2011 is a vital event for all homeland and commercial security professionals in both the public and private sector in India. The Conference focused on the advice, solutions and systems required for vigilance and security. Speakers included representatives from both the Central and State Governments.

Ilan Ozer, Director at Rosslare Security Products said: “We are extremely satisfied with the number and quality of visitors to our booth at IFSEC India 2011 this year. In our experience there is no other event like IFSEC in India that has the capability to draw in VIPs and key decision makers. Thank you for making this exhibition easy in every aspect. The support we received from start to finish was exemplary. We look forward to working towards even greater success with IFSEC India 2012.”

Amongst the prominent and most reputed security, safety and fire industry names present at the exhibition included ADI, Aditya, ANG India , Arise, Axis, BGI, BOSCH, DVTel, Everfocus, FAAC, Godrej, Gunnebo, HID, HIKVISION, Honeywell Security, Indigo Vision, Kores, Kufra, LG, Matrix, Miscrosoft, Morpho, NEC, Neural, Panasonic, Samriddhi Automation (SPARSH), Turbo, Tyco, Vectra Glosec and Verint.

Charlie Cracknell, Event Director for IFSEC said: “A strong international network and an extensive domestic and international database has enabled IFSEC India to reach out to the global homeland and commercial security industry which also has helped to bring awareness about the potential of the local security industry as a buyer and a supplier to the world. The show continues to grow year on year and we are excited about the potential that our new location in Greater Noida offers to the market for 2012.”
