July 2015 by Marc Jacob

Imperva Inc. announced that Forrester Research Inc. has rated the Imperva Incapsula DDoS Protection solution as a Leader in The Forrester Wave™: DDoS Services Providers, Q3 2015 report results. Imperva was also top ranked in the current offering category.

“Incapsula DDoS Protection has won numerous awards and we believe this recognition in the 2015 Forrester Wave™ DDoS Services Providers is another reflection of the comprehensiveness and effectiveness of our offering,” said Marc Gaffan, General Manager of Imperva Incapsula. “We know enterprises trust the results of this report and we’re thrilled to be included as a significant company in this field.”

Imperva was among the select companies that Forrester invited to participate in its 2015 Forrester Wave™ DDoS Services Providers report. Each vendor was evaluated on the strength of its DDoS product offering, looking at a variety of factors including alert notification process, attack types defended, detection tactics and defense tactics, among others.

Incapsula DDoS Protection combines a robust network backbone and industry-acclaimed traffic inspection solutions to provide comprehensive protection against application, network and protocol-based DDoS attacks. The Imperva Incapsula approach to protection offers multiple solutions designed to defend different sets of critical online assets from DDoS attacks:

• Incapsula Website Protection: A cloud-based DDoS mitigation service that automatically detects and mitigates DDoS attacks launched at website and web applications.

• Incapsula Infrastructure Protection: An on-demand security service that safeguards critical network infrastructure from volumetric and protocol-based DDoS attacks.

• Incapsula Name Server Protection: Automatically identifies and blocks malicious queries that target DNS servers, while also accelerating DNS responses.
