May 2012 by Marc Jacob
Systar announced that the ADEO Services’ IT teams of
Groupe ADEO have chosen OmniVision to optimize their IT infrastructure and improve the quality of
service delivered to users. Groupe ADEO is the leading French player in the international DIY market.
In charge of managing the information systems of over 500 stores of Groupe ADEO, such as Leroy
Merlin, in the field of DIY in Europe, Asia and South America, the ADEO Services’ IT teams have
chosen OmniVision as a Capacity Management and Capacity Planning solution for their entire physical
server farm representing about 250 Windows and Unix servers. The choice of OmniVision was
motivated by the desire to optimize the time spent by staff to manage the infrastructure through an
easy and automatic collection of information, which is used on a daily and continuous basis.
"Easy to use, the automatic OmniVision dashboards allow us to have a real decision-making tool to
confidently manage our physical infrastructure and provide users with the relevant metrics according
to their activity," says Aurélien Dubois, Head of Infrastructure, ADEO Services. "As it is the leader in
Capacity Management, Systar was the natural choice to help us move from reactive to proactive in
anticipating and managing incidents before business impact."
OmniVision is deployed by ADEO Services as the global solution for Capacity Management and used
by both administration and hosting teams to identify underused, overused or ready-to-be virtualized
machines, and thus optimize the existing infrastructure.
